Elsi Medina
Hi! I'm Elsi. I'm a mother of two daughters, a wife, and a highest-level play therapist. I have worked with children for over 20 years and have loved every moment of it.
As a play therapist I work at Saku kindergarten Päikesekild and in private practice. I conduct sessions in Estonian and English. I am a member of the Estonian Play Therapy Association and lead professional co-visions.

My education and experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Tallinn University. Plus numerous professional training courses: values education, mindfulness minutes, observational skills, skills-based learning, creativity, and more.
Path to play therapy
A desire to support children in navigating a complex emotional world and help them better understand what is happening within themselves and around them. Additional training in children's anger, anxiety, crisis, self-esteem, metaphor cards, fairy tales and superpowers, use of clay, and more.
Further training
Sandplay therapy basic training. Courses in foundations of visual art therapy and practical art therapy at Tallinn University. Counseling parents using the "Let's Talk About Children" method.
During a play therapy session, children can explore topics that are important to them through:
Storytelling and books
Metaphorical cards and pictures
Sand and clay play
Role-play and board games
Costumes, hand puppets, masks, accessories
Art materials
In play therapy, everything is playful — but very real.
